Soldotna
resident Heather L. LeVeque died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2004, from
injuries sustained in a car accident in Flagstaff, Ariz. She
was 19. There will be a viewing from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday,
Oct. 27, at Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai, followed by
cremation. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct.
28, at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Sterling.
Pastor Bob Reasner will officiate. A celebration of life will
be held at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center following the
service. Miss LeVeque was born July 26, 1985, in Soldotna, the
daughter of Michael and Linda LeVeque. She grew up and was raised
in Soldotna and graduated from Kenai Alternative High School
in 2003. She was in Arizona attending Coconino Community College,
aspiring to become a social worker. "Heather had a heart
of gold and shared her wealth with everyone she came in contact
with. Her beautiful face and sparkling smiles will not be forgotten.
She was a forever and faithful friend to all those that knew
and loved her," her family said. "We will be forever
thankful for the gifts that she has given us, such as her compassionate
heart and sweet carefree spirit. One of the greatest lessons
Heather taught everyone was to be nonjudgmental of others and
give liberally. She truly strived to walk as Jesus did and loved
him with all of her heart." Miss LeVeque is survived by
her parents, Michael LeVeque and Linda LeVeque; siblings, Holly
Mercado, Naomi Mercado and Kris LeVeque; grandparents, Chuck
and Sharon LeVeque and Palmer and Betty Shirk; nieces and nephews,
Sierra Madden, Anthony and Nicholas Griglione, Mariah Parnell
and Joshua Hieber; aunts and uncles, Debra LeVeque, Amy LeVeque,
Kathleen LeVeque, Tom and Sharon Shirk and Jim and Jeanie Shirk;
and cousins, Carisa, Christina, Ashley, Kailey, Kyler, Richie
and Aaron.

lived every day like it was her last. Senior in Vista Alternative
at the time of her death but is now officially a graduate. She
loved everyone and always was there for whoever needed her.
She was beautiful, smart, outgoing, a rebel, and a true earthly
angel. We are gonna miss her forever!!
